Not bad

This picture really captures the rage and ferocity that a Gyarados can inflict upon the seas or those unfortunate enough to be within its vicinity. I like the style you used to draw the water, the Japanese woodblock print style fits it very well and almost looks professional. The colors are nice and give it a very interesting vector/old-school storybook style as if on the next page the story begins to speak of the nature of the sea beast that is Gyarados.

All in all this is a great Pokemon image with Gyarados. Great job.

Excellent Rendition

This is a great rendition of one of the most respected series on Newgrounds. The detail placed in each of the characters reflects the quality and detail placed in each of the flash animations that they are represented in. The fur on the Bigfoot and Bitey really look good with the glow and light effects added on to them, really giving them the image of being real fur.

The fire effects truly caught my eye since they almost stick out more than the characters. One can almost imagine the flames flickering around the smoldering skull hosts as they dance around the band.

But the main gem is the amount of personality put into this piece. Bitey, looking as wild as ever, is the lead guitarist, which is really awesome since you need to be pretty fast to shred on a guitar. Bigfoot on bass is cool since like most of the denizens of Brakenwood, base is the foundation of the group. The Elf on drums works well since he's full on energy and can use that energy to really bash those drums. Finally, the witch on lead vocals. Arguably one of the most mysterious characters in the series, her voice is just as ambiguous.

All in all, this is an excellent image with great personality as well as detail. Great work!

Festive Brutality

It takes a sizable amount of creativity to mold both a family oriented activity like decorating a Christmas tree and then turning it into a scene straight out of Planet Terror. "Holiday greetings from DAD" is one of those few.

The gritty art style is reminiscent of old style GrindHouse movies and carries a serious drawing effect when you see it. The detail placed in the image itself is surprising, especially for the characters in question who were originally depicted in a more simplistic manner. The concept of decorating a tree in the severed body parts is awesome in itself, but when you add such iconic Newgrounds characters like DAD, MOM and JR, the over work gets sent into a whole other level.

Very good work.

Loving the detail placed in the sketch here. I love the contrast of the outlines as well and the minor details highlighted on the character. All it needs is a little more refinement and some coloring and you've got a work of art.

Well done

A very stylized and great piece of art. I love the style and the coloration is beautiful. One thing I would change is a slight increase in sharpness to make the image appear a bit more dynamic and less dream-like. But that's just my opinion and it's still a great piece.

Wow...just wow.

The detail in the image is great, especially the cracks in the monument and the gravestones. The characters make me laugh every time I lay eyes on them and the way they messed up the monument is hilarious. Good use of shading and lighting as well and you can almost picture the sun hanging lazily in the afternoon, post-apocalyptic sky. Good job.

My only complaint is that the Castle Crashers monument is fictional.

JohnnyUtah responds:

thanks dude

Quite a detailed piece

The colors used are bright and vibrant and really flow well with the overall design. The overall detail is simply stunning and reveals even the most minute details in both the subject and the background. Its not very often you see a pixel art piece this detailed and this is truly something beautiful to behold. Excellent work.

Thank you very much! I am glad to hear people like this one. I am thinking of adding more details to bring some things out more in the future :3

Not Bad

I like the complexion shading used and the vector style has a pretty cool appeal to it. But try to lower the amount of bubbles on the image, otherwise it looks a bit congested.

Great work

Well placed detail in both the overall design and the textures in the render. Great work.

Pretty good.

I love the dark and serious atmosphere that just seems to resonate from the image. The detail in the character is good with creases and bloodstains shown in the clothing and the blade in his hand. The destroyed landscape in the background just adds to the already foreboding atmosphere and just compliments the picture without it looking excessive. Overall, this is a great image and I hope to see more from ya.
